The Greats

The Greats gift retailer awards were launched by Progressive Gifts & Home magazine in 2003, in recognition of the tremendous contribution that retailers, both large and small, make to the success of the gift industry. It brings together the entire industry for a night of celebration. Each year the Light Fund team produces an extraordinary range of raffle and auction prizes, the proceeds from which go to the funds at the end of the evening.

The Retas

The Retas are 'the Oscars' for UK greeting card retailers. Launched by Progressive Greetings magazine in 2004, The Retas are annual awards that recognise and celebrate not only the top independent and multiple greeting card retailers regionally and nationally, but also the new breed of retailers as well as outstanding retail employees. Each year the Light Fund team produces an extraordinary range of raffle and auction prizes, the proceeds from which go to the funds at the end of the evening.

Hit and run events

The Light Fund is always open to individuals undertaking their own fund-raising efforts, such as Jane Kennedy (of RDF) did last year with her spectacular group Slimpickings Slimathon and Radders (of Roy Lowe) always has a fundraising wheeze up his sleeve. We also publish The Licensing Phrase Book which pokes fun at our industry and is sold at various events and occasions with the full proceeds, thanks to sponsorship from Danilo, going to the Fund
