Can I Help?
The Light Fund plans and organises events throughout the year to support a number of charities. Most importantly, you can help us simply by supporting our events by your participation – we can guarantee you’ll enjoy the experience! Details of future events will be widely publicised, and posted on this Website, so keep ‘em peeled! Additionally, many of our events need volunteers to help with implementation and organisation. Put your name forward and we’ll contact you and let you know how you can assist. Finally, we have an active committee of licensing professionals, and from time to time we’ll need fresh blood to replace those who’ve worn themselves out for the cause! If you’d like to serve on the committee at some future point then also please let us know and we’ll make you aware when there’s a vacancy.
How does the Light Fund raise money?
We raise money by staging events that you can attend as an individual, or with your colleagues as a company. The events raise money through a number of activities:
· Ticket prices
· Raffles and competitions
· Auctions
· Sponsorship packages
Each year we pool all the money collected and invite applications from a number of charities to whom we allocate the cash we have raised. This is normally done at the end of the calendar year, with the cash reaching the charities each December.
